Albany, GA- Morehouse drops doubleheader against Golden Rams during this weekend's 3-game series.
Game 1: After the tough loss on Friday night against Albany State, Morehouse would come back the next day hungry for a win. The Maroon Tigers would start the game out strong by getting the first point which was scored by
Amyr Smith and would happen to be the only point they would achieve.
Albany State Lachlan Ross would score 3-home runs and had 4 RBIs. Chase Karn scored 3 runs along with 2 stolen bases which would give the Golden Rams the win 11-1.
Game 2: The second game of the day started out completely different for our Maroon Tigers as they would go almost the entire game without scoring a single run. Until the top of the 6
th inning when
David Coleman II would completely change that as he was walked to 1
st base, a wild pitch from Beasley would allow Coleman to advance to 2
nd, and a single to the left field by
Derrick Odom would allow Coleman to score the first run.
For the Golden Rams, Fisher hit a 2-run home run, had 3 RBIs, and scored 3 runs. Hernandez hit a 3-run home run and had 5 RBIs. Davis got the win for the Golden Rams, 13-1.
Derrick Odom would end the game with 1 RBI.
The Maroon Tigers next another road game as they travel to Shorter University on Tuesday, April 12. Game starts at 2pm.
