Atlanta, GA- The Maroon Tigers were back in action Friday afternoon as they hosted Lane College in a double header. The 3-game series score is currently tied as both teams won a game.

Game 1: Morehouse defeated the Dragons 9-8 after taking the lead late in the game.
The Maroon Tigers fired up the offense in the second inning, when Jaiden Proper singled on the first pitch scoring one run. We would score four runs in the sixth inning. The game was tied at seven with Lane battling in the top of the ninth when Jackson Savoy doubled on a 0-1 count.

Morehouse would finish the first game with a total of ten hits. Proper and Amyr Smith would get multiple hits. Proper went 3-for3 at the plate to lead in hits.

To lead Morehouse in RBIs was Jaylen Green and Jaiden Proper as they both had 2. Amyr Smith, Jaylin Hawkins, and David Coleman would finish with 1 RBIs.

Game 2: The next game would have a late start as neither team would score until the third inning when Lane scored the first run.

Lane scored three runs in the top of the fourth, and Morehouse answered with three runs as well. From Lane, Andrew Smith hit a home run and Jordan Smith doubled on the first pitch, scoring a run. The Maroon Tigers would come right back when Amyr Smith hit into a fielder's choice with one run scored. Vega singled on a 0-1 count and scored one run.

The game would end up becoming tied at five with Lane batting at the top of the sixth. Pharoah Smith, drew a walk, scoring one run and allowing them to take the win.

Morehouse would only achieve one home run throughout the entire game which was scored by senior Miles Grayson and 1 RBI. Ricardo Vega would lead Morehouse with 2 RBIs. Amyr Smith and Kyle Dixon would finish with 1 RBI.
