Fort Valley, GA- The Maroon Tigers came up short against Fort Valley State on Friday night, 0-3. The scores were 25-7, 25-17, and 25-14.
The Wildcats started off with a 10-point lead and coasted to a 25-7 win. The second set, Morehouse kept up with the Wildcats but services errors would eventually lead to the Maroon Tigers falling behind. Morehouse had a hard time scoring after they hit 15 points as Saferino Dour lined an ace and three of his teams would follow with kills, but Morehouse kept fighting with a kill by William Babalola and a block by
Chase Armstrong would get them up to 17 points ending the game with, 25-17. The third set the score stayed even until a kill by Oshane Farguharson which would give FVSU the lead and from there they took off running and never looked back capturing the win, 25-14.
To lead the Wildcats was Oshane Farguharson with 11 kills. Justin Wales and Rashaun Wright would both add 6 kills.
Kristopher Woods lead the Maroon Tigers with 7 kills, Babalola would follow behind with 6 kills.
Aidan Pullian had 2 service aces. Armstrong and Barnes both had 1 block.
Our Maroon Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, Mar 19, as they host Benedict College. Game time at 2pm.
