Atlanta, GA- The Maroon Tigers released their 2022 football schedule, after spending last season away from their home field. Morehouse Athletics is proud to announce that our football team will be back at B.T. Harvey Stadium to kick off the season.

"I'm thrilled about getting our 2022 football season started" said Head Coach Rich Freeman. "We are starting out the season with three of the first four games at home on our newly renovated field in B.T. Harvey Stadium!"

Morehouse will open the season with two home games. The first game will take place on Sep. 3 against West Alabama and the second on Sept. 10 against West Georgia. Following the first two home games, the Maroon Tigers will then hit the road to Met Life Stadium for the NYC Classic on Sep. 17 against Howard University. After returning from the NYC Classic, they will host Savannah State on Sep 24, here at Morehouse.

"Our young men will benefit from playing in this first-class classic. It will also give them visibility and that bowl game atmosphere" states Coach Freeman. "We will definitely benefit in both Classics (New York Classic vs Howard University) and the (Morehouse-Tuskegee Classic in Birmingham, Alabama)."
 
The second half of the schedule is a mixture of home and away contests, beginning with an away game at Edward Waters on Oct. 1. Morehouse will then be in Birmingham, AL., for the Morehouse-Tuskegee Classic on Oct. 8. Our Maroon Tigers will travel to Fort Valley on (Oct. 15). Morehouse will host Benedict College (Oct. 22) for Homecoming. Following that game, we will travel to Albany State (Oct. 29). For our final home game, we will host our rival Clark Atlanta (Nov. 5) for Senior Day.
