Savannah, GA- Morehouse Maroon Tigers defeat Savannah State 67-56 in their final regular-season game. 
 
The Maroon Tigers would hold a six-point lead at the half. The Maroon Tigers prioritized scoring in the paint with 34 points in the game. Morehouse Center Olisa Akonobi would go 10 of 12 from the field and have 22 points on the evening.
 
 He would be the high point man in the game for the Maroon Tigers and would also finish with eight rebounds and one assist. The Maroon Tigers also accounted for 50 bench points in the game. Savannah State guard Marcus Scott would finish with 12 points, two assists, and two rebounds on the game. 
 
Morehouse continues to make history as their 17-game winning streak is the second-most in school history. The Maroon Tigers play next in the SIAC basketball tournament championship in Rock Hill, South Carolina. There the Maroon Tigers have the chance to capitalize on a great season.
