Columbia, SC- Our Men's Volleyball falls short against Benedict College, 0-3 on Friday evening.
The Tigers defeated Morehouse 25-13, 25-19, and 25-18 to improve to an 1-5 on the season. Our Maroon Tigers drop to 0-3 in their season.
In the first set, Morehouse scored the first four points, but the Tigers reeled off 10 points in a row. Benedict built the lead to 19-8 before Morehouse closed the gap to 19-12. Benedict scored the next four points, then closed out the set with a pair of kills by Wilmott.
The Maroon Tigers jumped out to an early lead in the second set, starting out with a 7-3 advantage. Benedict scored seven of the next eight points to take over the lead, 10-8 and never looked back. Benedict started off the strong in the third set, scoring the first eight points and stayed in control the rest of the way.
To lead the Tigers was Donovan Wilmott, he had 12 kills and hit at a .563 clip. De'Andrae Taylor added eight kills.
To lead our Maroon Tigers was
Chase Armstrong,
Williams Babalola, and
Aidan Pullian who all had 3 kills.
Bryce Pretlow and
Aidan Pullian both had 1 ace.
Collin Concepcion added 11 assists.
