Albany, GA- The Golden Rams would defeat the Maroon Tigers 31-7. The Golden Rams finish the season 7-2 and second in the SIAC conference.
The Golden Rams took the lead in the first quarter on a six-yard run by running back Jaquez Williams, capping off an 80-yard drive on three plays. Following a 36-yard field goal early in the second quarter, Golden Rams quarterback Jhaydon Sullivan connected with wide receiver Jamil Williams for a seven-yard touchdown.
Both teams went scoreless in the third quarter, with the Golden Rams leading 17-0 at the half. Sullivan would connect on a 38-yard pass to Ralph Lovett III for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. On the next drive, the Maroon Tigers scored on a 10-yard run by running back Jaylon West, capping an 8-play, 32-yard drive. Sullivan would connect with Lovett III again for a seven-yard touchdown pass.
The Maroon Tigers' nine-game losing streak continues, but they hope to rebound for senior day against AUC rival Clark Atlanta University. That game will occur on November 5th at 2 p.m. at B.T. Harvey Stadium.
