Morehouse Ends Road Trip With Loss At LeMoyne-Owen

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Morehouse College basketball team ended their two-game road trip with a loss to LeMoyne-Owen College, 74-69, on Monday evening in Memphis, Tennessee.

The Maroon Tigers fall to .500 on the season with a 7-7, 4-3 SIAC, while the Magicians Improved to 9-4, 5-2 SIAC.

LOC led for most of the first half and built a 13 point lead at 35-22 with 3:24 remaining but MHC came roaring back and closed the half on a 13-2 run to cut the deficit to two and go into the locker rooms down 37-35.

Morehouse got out of the gate strong building their largest lead of the game of 11 points at 53-42 with 14:46 remaining in the game but could not hold on as LeMoyne-Owen roared back to take the lead in the final minutes for the victory.
 
Turning Point
Down 66-63 with 3:40 remaining in the game, the Magicians went on an 11-3 run to end the game and pulled out the 74-69 victory.

Individual Leaders
Senior guard Robert Andrews (Detroit, MI) led the Maroon Tigers with a double-double as he scored a team-high 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Sophomore Chris Brown (Atlanta, GA) was the only other Maroon Tiger to score in double-figures as he finished the night with 11 points and six boards.
