Opening Tip:  The Maroon Tigers look to rebound after their 66-61 loss to Paine College in Augusta, Georgia this past Monday. With the loss, the Maroon Tigers fall to 8-9 overall on the season and 5-5 in the SIAC. With a win in Forbes Arena on Saturday, January 25th against AUC rival Clark Atlanta University at 3 P.M., the Maroon Tigers will remain in third place in the SIAC East.

Scouting MHC: Morehouse enters Saturday with an 8-9 record after a loss to Paine College that saw freshman guard Julian Alexander (Atlanta, GA) lead the Maroon Tigers with 20 points shooting 8-14 from the field and 4-8 from three-point range. Senior guard Michael Olmert (Atlanta, GA) scored 11 points and lead the team in assists with four. Senior guard Robert Andrews (Detroit, MI) contributed on both ends of the floor with nine points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Scouting CAU: The Panthers have been playing great as of late, winning six of their last seven games. Despite this streak, the Panthers currently have a 7-10 record. In their last game, Clark lost 72-59 to the Savannah State University Tigers. The Panthers were led by freshman guard Elijah Stewart (Chicago, Ill.), who scored 17 points on 6-15 from the field. Sophomore forward Javonte Sterling (Bladensburg, Md.) nearly had a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Senior forward Romaine Thomas (Bronx, NY) scored 11 points on 5-17 shooting from the field and grabbed eight rebounds.

Split the Last Two: Morehouse and Clark Atlanta split their last two matches last season. Morehouse lost the first match 68-60 on January 26th and won the second match-up on February 9th 70-67.

Harold Ellis Day: Morehouse College will recognize, Harold Ellis, who led the Maroon Tigers to the 1990 NCAA DII Final Four.

Up Next: The Maroon Tigers travel to McCamish Pavilion on Tuesday, January 28th to face Georgia Tech in an exhibition game. Tip-off is set for 7:30 P.M.
