AUGUSTA, GA – The Morehouse College men's basketball team fell on the road to Paine College, 66-61, on Monday afternoon in Augusta, Georgia. 

The Maroon Tigers fall to 8-9, 5-5 SIAC, while the Lions improved to 2-13, 2-8 SIAC.

Morehouse led for most of the first-half building an eight point lead at 18-10 with 12:19 remaining but Paine clawed back and tied the game at 36-36 going into the locker room.

The teams exchanged baskets for most of the second half before Paine pulled away in the final two and a half minutes for the victory.
 
Turning Point
With the Maroon Tigers up 61-60 with 2:28 remaining in the game, Paine ended the contest on a 6-0 run to upset Morehouse.

Individual Leaders
Freshman guard, Julian Alexander (Atlanta, GA) led Morehouse with a game-high 20 points and three rebounds while senior guard, Michael Olmert (Atlanta, GA) finished with 11 points and four assist.

The Lions were led by Keon Williams who finished with 16 points while Jamal Hinkle had 11 points and nine rebounds.

> The Maroon Tigers snatched 40 rebounds with 15 coming on the offensive end

The Maroon Tigers return to Forbes Arena for the Battle of the AUC as they take on AUC rival Clark Atlanta on Saturday, January 25th. The game has also been designated "Harold Ellis Day". Tip-off is set for 3.P.M.
