ATLANTA, Ga. - Omar Alston's triple-double led #13 Morehouse to an 85-70 season finale victory over Benedict College on Monday evening in Atlanta, Georgia. On the same night head coach Grady Brewer moved into second place in the Maroon Tiger coaches all-time win list as he picked up his 299th victory moving him in front of Frank Forbes and now sits behind his mentor Arthur McAfee.

The Maroon Tiger controlled the pace in the first half leading by as many as 18 and went into the locker rooms with a 51-33 lead over the Tigers.

The second half saw much of the same as MHC mounted a 24 point lead before cruising to the 85-70 victory.

Turning Point
After Benedict cut the lead to just 5 at 22-17 with 10:13 remaining in the half, Morehouse went on a 29-16 run to close out the half.

Individual Leaders
Alston a senior from (Waldorf, MD) finished the game with his second triple-double of the season as he posted 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assist in the win. Junior guard Michael Olmert (Atlanta, GA) finished with 12 points as sophomore Chibueze Ebinum finished with 13 points while freshman Xavier Brewer finished with 11 points included connecting on 3-of-4 from behind the arc, both off the bench.

Kelvin Omojola led Benedict with 15 points off the bench.
