Opening Tip: The Maroon Tigers look for their fifth win in a row and their second win in this year's Arthur J. McAfee Memorial Classic after beating the St. Augustine University Falcons 61-51 on Saturday, December 7th. With Saturday's win, the Maroon Tigers sit at 5-3, comfortably atop the SIAC Eastern Division. With a win against Georgia College on Sunday, December 8th, in Atlanta, Georgia at Morehouse's Forbes Arena, the Maroon Tigers can improve their record to 6-3 and sweep this year's Arthur J. McAfee Memorial Classic.

Scouting MH: Morehouse enters Sunday's game 5-3 after last night's when against St. Augustine University that saw sophomore guard Malik Kennedy (Toronto Ontario, CAN) score a game-high 17 points and tally three assists on 6-11 from the field and 2-5 from three-point range. Sophomore forward Xavier Brewer (Atlanta, GA) scored 12 points and grabbed three boards while shooting 4-9 from the field and making 2-5 from three-point range. Sophomore guard Devin Russell (Center Point, AL) scored 11 points and was third on the team in rebounds with six.

Scouting GC: The Georgia College Bobcats have struggled lately, dropping their last three games, resulting in them falling to a 2-5 record. On Saturday, the Bobcats dropped lost their third straight in overtime 78-70 to LeMoyne-Owen college. Redshirt freshman guard Brandon Thomas (McDonough, Ga.) led the team in scoring with 15 points, shooting 5-15 from the field and 2-9 from three-point range. Sophomore forward Chris Parks (Buford, Ga.) scored 10 points, tallied four assists, and led the team in rebounds with nine. Junior guard Jordan Thomas (Conyers, Ga.) contributed 10 points and six rebounds.

First Win in Three: The Maroon Tigers have lost their last two matches against the Bobcats by an average of 10 points. The last time these two teams played was during the 2016-2017 season, where the Maroon Tigers lost on the road 74-66. The Maroon Tigers will be looking for their first win in three games against the Bobcats.

Second Straight Sweep: With a win on Sunday, this will be the second year in a row where the Maroon Tigers have won both games in the Arthur J. McAfee Memorial Classic. In last year's classic, the Maroon Tigers won games against the University of West Florida and Carver College.

Up Next: The Maroon Tigers return to action on Monday, December 16th as they go on the road to take on the Dragons of Lane College in Jackson, TN at the Oman Arena. Tip-off is set for 8:30 P.M.
