Maroon Tigers Blowout Fisk, 115-48

ATLANTA, GA - After moving up six spots in the national rankings from the previous week, Morehouse College took care of business at home; winning their third straight game to start the season, beating the Bulldogs of Fisk University 115-48.

The Maroon Tigers start the season 3-0, as the Bulldogs fall to an 0-2 start.

Morehouse College led the game from the opening tip, starting the contest going on an 11-4 run, thanks to the relentless defensive intensity of the starters.

MHC was led by senior guard, James Walker (Stone Mountain, GA) who was one of four Maroon Tigers in double figures, and finished with a team high 21 points and 6 rebounds while sophomore transfer, Chibueze Ebinum (Lanham, MD) finished with 20 points after having a perfect night from the free-throw line (7-7).  Junior Michael Olmert (Atlanta, GA) also had a productive night, chipping in eight points and ten assist in the victory.

Morehouse took a 56-32 lead going into the locker room at half, leaving the rest of the game in the benches hands. When asked about his benches effort Coach Brewer said, "We are a work in progress, we can be better-- we're much better than I thought we would be at this time, but we really can be much better if we keep the intensity up for 48 minutes."

The Bulldogs were led by Anthony Hassel who had a team high 19 points to go along with three rebounds.

Morehouse College finished the game shooting 62.1% from the field, while winning the turnover battle 26-15.
