January 7, 2012 -- BIRMINGHAM, AL -- A double-double by Shawn Allen and a game-high 18 points by Andrae Nelson weren't enough against the Miles Golden Bears and Morehouse lost 56-50.
It was the season's second loss against the Bears, who won 72-70, at Forbes Arena, December 3.
Morehouse trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half, but closed it to 34-27 at the break.
Three baskets by Nelson and one by Cornez Nesbitt and a Miles free throw tied the score at 35-35, early in the second half. A 10-2 Golden Bears scoring spurt over the next three minutes put the home team ahead for good.
