Panthers Defeat Tigers

January 26, 2012 -- ATLANTA -- Shawn Allen scored 24 points and two other Maroon Tigers scored in double figures, but it wasn't enough to halt the Clark Atlanta Panthers, who won 77-64.

The visiting Panthers outrebounded the Maroon Tigers 45-31 and shot better from the field and the free throw line, to had Morehouse its sixth straight loss.

Allen, whose 24 points and 11 rebounds were both game highs, hit four threes and shot 9-of-15 from the floor. 

Daniyal Faquir and Cornez Nesbitt each chipped in 10 points, with Nesbitt pulling down six rebounds.

Morehouse fell to 3-11 (3-9 SIAC).

Antonio Burch (15 pts.) and Brandon O'Brien (10 pts.) led the Panthers, who improved to 8-9 (8-5 SIAC). Four other Panthers scored nine points each.

Morehouse will travel to play the Golden Rams of Albany State, Saturday at 3 p.m.
