Andre Roach was named Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. His responsibility is to oversee all NCAA compliance responsibilities at Morehouse College and to assistant with gameday management and to be an advisor for the Student-athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Andre Roach arrived at Morehouse College from Shorter University, Rome, GA where he was the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance from 2015 to 2022. His responsibilities included implementing rules compliance education for all coaches and staff, serving as co-chair of the Academic Advisory Committee for Athletics, and the Academic Appeals Committee, gameday management and tickets and reviewing and completing NCAA and institutional reports.
Prior to his role at Shorter University, Mr. Roach was the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at Saint Augustine’s University. While at Saint Augustine’s University in addition to his compliance duties, he served as sport supervisor for the sports of Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Softball.
Andre Roach first opportunity in compliance was as the Compliance Coordinator at Saint Paul’s College in 2002. While at Saint Paul’s College he developed the first student-athlete handbook for Saint Paul’s College and provided NCAA Compliance oversight for over 150 student-athletes.
During his career, Mr. Roach served an Athletic Administration Internship with the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore and North Carolina State University. He was also a Community Relations Intern with the Basketball Hall of Fame. He has twice served as the Meet Director for the Gulf South Conference (GSC) Outdoor Track & Field Conference Championships 2017, 2019, and was a member of the Division II Student-athlete Reinstatements Appeals Committee from 2010 through 2016 and completed the NCAA Pathways program in June 2021.
A native of Springfield, Massachusetts Mr. Roach earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2000 and a Master of Science in Athletic Administration at North Carolina Central University in 2019. Andre Roach is married to Jennifer Roach and is the father to three children, Trinity Williams, Aaron Roach and Logan Roach.
